About Me
My passion for the culinary arts ignited at a young age, inspired by my father's homemade cheesecake. Despite facing a setback on MasterChef Canada Season 2, where I finished 5th, I persisted, balancing my studies in pharmacy with dreams of owning my own bakery. After opening my first pastry store, Daan Go Cake Lab, my unique fusion of Asian heritage and pastry delights propelled me to expand to multiple locations in Toronto and Vancouver.
Returning to MasterChef Canada: Back to Win in 2019, I claimed victory, solidifying my status as a culinary champion. My entrepreneurial spirit has led to the establishment of additional ventures like Pâtisserie Fleur, earning me recognition as Young Entrepreneur of the Year and opportunities to share my journey on platforms like Recipe for Disaster and esteemed talk shows.
